A. Personal Statement

Elli Malakounidou was born on the 19 of September 1982 and completed her primary and secondary education in Amaliada with the grade of ‘’Excellent 19.5/20’’. As a student, she won a scholarship from Latsis foundation in 2000 for excellent school performance. Elli Malakounidou graduated from the School of Medicine of University of Crete, Greece in 2008 with the grade of ‘’ Very Good 6,7/10‘’. She had been a resident in the Department of Pulmonology, Hospital ‘Agios Andreas’ Department for Diseases of the Chest, until the 23/12/2019. She had been a resident in the Intensive Care Unit, General University Hospital of Patras, Greece until the 07/09/2020. She is currently a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, General University Hospital of Patras, Greece. In the last months she is a consultant in the Department of Covid19 clinic, General University Hospital of Patras, Greece. Elli D. Malakounidou’s main interest in Pulmonology is smoking cessation and respiratory failure in critically ill patients. She has participated in smoking cessation clinic of Evaggelismos Hospital under the supervision of Paraskevi Katsaounou.
